NICOLE Hoffman has not allowed the GFC to push her off track.

“I feel we have the whole package,” the owner of two Cafe Envy outlets at Cotton Tree and Mooloolaba said. “We look after the locals and create an experience. We make sure the ambience is right, the cooking is great, the produce is consistent and fresh and I pride myself on looking after my team.

“They then look after my business and my customers.”

Despite her determination, the GFC has caused a few chinks in the armour.

“Produce is a lot more expensive, so I have noticed it in my pricing.

“I did have to increase my prices, and that was nerve-wracking. But I didn’t want to drop quality.

“I know restaurants have suffered more than cafes, but people still have to treat themselves and enjoy life and that’s where I come in.”
